About me

Heyyy. My name is Gabrielle and welcome to The Gabby Files. I’m from Maryland originally born in Washington D.C. I grew up being the shyest girl of the group but was always the most intuitive and curious. At the age of five I moved to Costa Rica and became bilingual and ever since then my life has been a spiraling series of events filled with ups and downs all creating and shaping the young woman I am today. I love inspirational quotes, drawing, spending time outside, being active and shopping!

    Through all the change I've experienced in my life, from living  in three different countries and often switching schools, most would think the concept of change would've been one I had embraced form a young age as I should've become accustomed to it. However, I am regretful to say change has been one of the hardest things for me to overcome. Especially as I got older I always longed for a “stable” environment with my friends, visiting the same churches and knowing my neighborhood like the back of hand from living there for many  years. I often would tip toe out of my comfort zone reluctantly. However, as I’ve matured Ive come to the realization that their is truly no growth in remaining the same. Ultimately your “comfort zone will kill you” which sounds harsh but it is the hard truth. I truly owe my whole persona to everything I've been through. Looking back at the times in which I had agonized the most over a particular change are the times when I had experienced the most rewarding gifts to my character.

    Through this blog I want to finally release the shy, intuitive voice that has been trapped in my head. I once heard someone say they were a walking contradiction and I couldn't agree more with this statement about myself. I am an introverted, extrovert an outgoing, shy person. This year I am determined to take risks and do things I never thought I would do last year or even a couple a months ago. My new motto is if it scares you your doing something right!! I hope you guys join me as I embark on my journey and share my experiences and pictures with you from fashion to travels and self care. I hope to inspire others to embark on their personal journeys to be the best version of themselves no matter what it takes and by any means!
